Electrical Generation.

The electrical system includes a number of 28 Volt busses and automatic power transfer relays that are computer controlled making the operation effectively transparent to the pilot.  The system includes two engine driven generators, a main battery, a larger and more powerful engine start battery,  TRU's (Transformer Rectifier Units) that produce 115 volt power for computers and instrumentation,  and an ADG (Air-Driven Generator).

Probes

Air sensing probes include the Main Pitot tube located at the forward tip of the nose needle.  An auxiliary Pitot Tube on the left side of the fuselage abeam the forward end of the canopy, two static ports on either side of the fuselage, two AOA veins also on either side of the fuselage and an ice detection probe on the lower left side of the fuselage..  All these probes are heated by 115 Volt AC power to guard against ice contamination and are regulated by the computer systems.  They are all activated after any generator comes online following a self diagnosis.
